Stockport Council celebrates one year of Review EXTRA
Stockport Council is celebrating one year of the Stockport Review EXTRA with the news that over 9,000 people currently subscribe to receive their e-newsletter.
The monthly bulletin was relaunched last October (2016) after the paper edition of the Stockport Review moved to a yearly production.
And after starting with just over 500 subscribers, the rise in demand is proof that Stockport residents and businesses are finding it easier to learn about local services, information and events, according to Cllr David Sedgwick.
The Cabinet Member for Reform and Governance said: “We’re thrilled that we have over 9,000 subscribers just one year after relaunching.
“It’s clear that people want to access information and services in different ways. Keeping residents and businesses well informed is incredibly important and that’s why we’re keen for as many people as possible to sign up to the e-newsletter.
“The Stockport Review EXTRA allows us to communicate more effectively with Stockport residents and businesses whilst reducing the amount we spend on the printed version.”
You can sign up to the Stockport Review EXTRA by visiting the review extra sign up page and entering your email address.
Anyone who signs up or stays signed up in November will be entered into a competition to win a cinema ticket and snack/drink combination for up to FOUR people each month for THREE months at Stockport’s new Light Cinema.
Opening on the 24 November at Stockport’s hottest new area – Redrock Stockport – you can win just in time for all of the latest blockbusters such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Jumanji and Pitch Perfect 3!
Full terms and conditions of the competition can be found on our competition information webpage.
