Stockport celebrates English Tourism Week: One year on from Cultural Weekender success
As part of English Tourism Week (14-23 March), Stockport is proud to reflect on its tourism sites and achievements since being crowned Greater Manchester Town of Culture last year.

The vibrant community, rich heritage, and diverse cultural attractions continue to draw visitors from near and far, cementing Stockport’s position as a premier tourism destination.
Stockport’s Cultural Weekender, held last year, showcased the town’s thriving arts scene, historical landmarks, and lively events. The success of the Weekender marked a milestone for Stockport, leaving an indelible impact on both residents and tourists.
One year on, Stockport’s tourism landscape has flourished. From exploring the historic Hat Works Museum to enjoying scenic walks in Bramhall Park, visitors have a wealth of experiences to choose from. The town’s culinary scene has also grown, with an array of cafes, restaurants, and local markets offering delicious fare.
