Spend Well, Live Well grants now available for community organisations
At Stockport Council, we know that many residents are struggling with the rising cost-of-living, and that our community organisations provide vital services for Stockport.
We want to increase access to services for all residents, by helping community organisations continue to provide lifeline services. That’s why we’ve introduced our ‘Spend Well, Live Well’ grants, funded by the One Stockport Local Fund. Any community, voluntary, or social enterprise organisation can apply for a grant of up to £5,000 for single organisation applications. If you’re applying on behalf of a collaborative project, you can apply for up to £20,000.
The priorities for grant allocation will be focused on those who can provide support, services and activities to individuals, families or communities which are most in need. It could be a one-off project based around a response to the cost-of-living crisis, or a need for funding to widen access to or delivery of services.
Apply for a grant using this form. The form contains some examples of the kind of projects we’re looking for. The application deadline is 30th May 2023.
Councillor Mark Hunter, Leader of Stockport Council, commented: “In Stockport we have a fantastic network of community organisations who really do offer essential support for our residents, which is particularly important right now, as many of us feel the squeeze of rising prices and interest rates. Following the success of our warm spaces programme which ran over the course of last winter, we want to help support organisations with projects which will make a real difference to the lives of individuals and families struggling with the cost-of-living.”
“I encourage all our wonderful community organisations to consider an application for a Spend Well, Live Well grant if you have an idea for a project or expansion plans.”
