Results day for college students across Stockport
Students from across Stockport are celebrating after receiving their A-level and BTEC results today (18 August 2022).
Councillor Wendy Meikle, Stockport Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education said: “Congratulations to everyone getting their results today! You should be so proud of how hard you’ve worked through all of the disruptions we’ve faced over the past few years. I wish you every success in this brand new chapter of your lives.
“I’m sure all parents and teachers will join me in celebrating our young people and letting them know that it’s okay if they’re not sure what the future holds: that they’re loved and supported no matter what.”
For anyone wondering about what their next step will be, Stockport’s Education and Careers Advice Service and Apprenticeships Store are both available online for advice and support. You can also visit the Stockport Jobs Match website for local jobs, training and career advice.
