Open+ self service available for all library users in Stockport

‘Open+’ is our self-service technology that gives you access to our library buildings for longer periods every day. You don’t need to register to use Open+ - you can just need to turn up at the building with your library card.

You just scan your library card at the entrance and enter your PIN to access the building. If you don't know your PIN try your year of birth, or you can go to our Library Catalogue, click on the login menu and select ‘Forgot Your PIN?’ to get it emailed to you.

Please remember our library services are all still available online 24/7 and through self service in our buildings you can still:

  • borrow books
  • return books
  • pick up reservations
  • go online using our free computers
  • use our free wifi to get online

Self service means residents can access libraires at times that suit them even when library staff are not there. Check our website here for more detail on Open+, when our libraries are open and when to go if you need to speak to one of our library colleagues.
