One Stockport Local directory is here to help you find support
The One Stockport Local directory brings together support and things to do in your community.
This is an essential new tool we’ve introduced as part of our One Stockport Local way of working with partners to make it easier for people to help themselves, their families and those they care for in places close to them. It provides a one-stop solution to connecting with local support for adults and families, health and wellbeing, financial support, and much more.
Councillor Jilly Julian, Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources, says: “The One Stockport Local directory is a fantastic resource for the community! It’s great to see such a comprehensive tool that brings together support and activities in one place. One Stockport Local is about knowing our communities and working together as one team and we encourage our partners to use this directory in their day-to-day work, spread the word to residents and help the directory to grow.”
The directory is a comprehensive resource containing service listings from the council, NHS, and wider partners, including the voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise sector. Whether you’re seeking help with children or adults, special educational needs, health and wellbeing, cost of living or looking for local community groups, this directory ensures you access accurate information about the wide variety of services and help available in our communities 24/7.
Is there a specific type of support or activity you’re interested in finding out more about? You can explore themed areas of support or filter your search results according to your specific needs. You can also choose to see support options on a map to find your most convenient location.
You can search the entire One Stockport Local directory, which includes six different subcategories:
- Support for adults
- Children and families
- Health and wellbeing
- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Communities
- Financial support
You can also find the individual directories on our Support for Adults, Family Hubs, SEND Local Offer, and Communities web pages.
If you are a local organisation or group providing support for residents, adding your information to the directory could significantly expand your reach. You can use our online form to submit your services or events for free, ensuring they are available to as many residents as possible. Your contribution can make a real difference in our community.
One Stockport Local is our approach to neighbourhoods and prevention. From One Stockport Family Hubs to One Stockport Local appointments in libraries, we are introducing a whole host of ways to bring together early help and support. Find out more at www.stockport.gov.uk/onestockportlocal.
