New self-service printing launched in Stockport libraries

Stockport Council is pleased to announce the launch of new self-service printing in some of its libraries across the borough.

New self-service printing launched in Stockport libraries

This new service allows library users to print documents directly from their own devices, whether they are at home or on the go. By uploading files to the cloud, people can conveniently print their jobs at any participating library’s self-service machine – both during staffed opening hours or when the library is in Open+.

The introduction of cloud printing is part of the council’s commitment to harnessing new technology while improving accessibility and services for local people.

Full details – including costs for printing and participating libraries – can be found on the library pages of the council website.

As well as this new service, all Stockport Libraries offer a wide range of other services to the community, including book lending, free internet access, and much, much more – for more details and to find the nearest library to you visit our library webpages.

Councillor Helen Foster-Grime, Cabinet Member for Communities, Culture and Sport, said:

“Libraries are at the heart of our communities, and we have listened to our residents when they say they want to be able to use them for longer and also have access to new services. I’m delighted that the introduction of self-service printing at many of our libraries will give people the flexibility to print and access their everyday items at a time and place that suits them.”
