Never forget to put your bins out again with Recycle for Greater Manchester's free app

Stockport Council’s partner Recycle for Greater Manchester has relaunched its new bin app enabling Stockport’s residents to easily check bin days and set reminders

Stockport Council’s partner Recycle for Greater Manchester has relaunched its new bin app enabling Stockport’s residents to easily check bin days and set reminders.
All residents have to do is simply enter their postcode and select their address to set a reminder. Once the reminder has been set, the resident will receive a push notification on their mobile phone’s home screen.

App users can also find out what can and cannot be recycled from the useful A-Z guide, as well as where to recycle and dispose of their waste safely.

Cllr Sheila Bailey Stockport Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing, said: “The Recycle for Greater Manchester app means that Stockport residents can check their bin days and set reminders so they never miss a collection again.

“As part of our We Love Stockport environmental campaign we are encouraging Stockport’s already keen recyclers to recycle that little bit more. This app offers residents an important tool to help them with their recycling, with the ability to check what can and can’t be recycled, which can help people reduce contamination and do their bit for the environment.”

The free app is available now to download from the App Store and Google Play by searching Recycle for Greater Manchester.
