Stockroom
Since opening in May last year, Stockroom has quickly become a buzzing creative space in the heart of Stockport. This half term, it’s packed with an exciting programme of events with something for everyone to enjoy. Family friendly FREE half term events at Stockroom include:
LEGO Club
Wednesday 18 February – from 3.30pm
Join the weekly drop-in LEGO Club and turn your imagination into reality, one brick at a time. No booking required, just come along and create!
Children’s storytime
Wednesday 18 February - from 11am

Youth Night
Thursday 19 February – from 5.30pm
Stockroom’s free youth night for ages 14–25 offers drop-in crafts, gaming, board games, and opportunities to try new creative activities.
Dungeon Crawlers
Friday 20 February – from 4pm
A fantasy roleplay club for children aged 7–11, Dungeon Crawlers lets young heroes and wizards embark on thrilling quests and adventures. Booking is required.
AMAZE
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 February – from 5.30pm
Experience AMAZE, a projection on the Merseyway car park screen, telling the stories of life-changing moments in the lives of everyday Stopfordians. The projection is created in collaboration with internationally renowned Illuminos, who are experts in turning buildings and public spaces into immersive, unforgettable visual experiences, blending light, sound, and storytelling. Their work has lit up cities across the UK and beyond, and now Stockport will have its very own large-scale projection.

With more than 100,000 visits each month, Stockroom has established itself as a welcoming and much-loved place for creativity and fun. Alongside inclusive events happening across the borough this February half term, it gives families plenty of opportunities to spend time together, try something new and enjoy the school holidays close to home.”
Stockport libraries
Stockport Libraries will be hosting Crafty Kids Pop-Up and Pop-Up Play Hubs, featuring Lego sessions, games, jigsaws, puppet shows and much more. No booking required – just drop in and discover the fun waiting for you! Find out more on their Facebook page.
Stockport museums and galleries
There’s lots going on at our museums and galleries including: family-friendly activities taking place at the Hat Works, you can get creative by making animal puppets at the War Memorial Art Gallery and celebrate the Lunar New Year in style by making your very own hobby horse bookmark at Staircase House and Stockport Museum.
