It’s exam results day for students across Stockport

Finally, the wait is over as hundreds of students across Stockport will receive their exam results over the next few weeks. The years of hard work and study are now over, and we would like to congratulate everyone who has picked up their results, and hopefully achieved the grades that they wanted.

Councillor Wendy Meikle, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education, said: “I would like to congratulate all of the students of Stockport who are receiving their GCSE and A level over the next few weeks. Well done, it's an incredible achievement for you all and one that I'm sure your families, friends and teachers will be extremely proud to be a part of. This is an exciting time for you all as you make your choices and take your next steps into education, vocational training or employment, and make your way in the world.”

“Hopefully you will have achieved the grades that you required for your chosen career path, but if not, please do not panic. There is advice and guidance through your school or college and a range of options and support available in Stockport.”

If you’re not sure what your next steps should be, or what options are open to you, Stockport’s Education and Careers Advice Service and Information on Apprenticeships are both available online for advice and support.
