Health advice is only a few clicks away this May Bank Holiday

Health advice is at your fingertips if you need medical help on Bank Holiday Monday, 2 May.

GP practices in Stockport will be closed that day and pharmacies will be opening on a rota basis. The rota is available on the Greater Manchester Local Pharmaceutical Committee’s website.

You can find lots of advice on managing the symptoms of minor ailments, such as coughs, colds and sore throats in children and adults on NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group’s self-care page.

The NHS A-Z of Conditions also has tips and practical advice on managing common conditions at home.

If you have a medical need, go online or call NHS 111 and you will be directed to the most appropriate service to use. It’s free to call from any mobile or landline and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If your condition is serious, or a life threatening emergency, call 999 immediately or go to your nearest emergency department.
