Have your say on the new constituency map of the North West

The Boundary Commission for England recently proposed new constituency boundaries across the country as part of its 2023 Review.

The initial phase of the consultation is now closed, and the Commission is moving to its secondary phase, which sees them hold public hearings across the country. Manchester is hosting two of the hearings, on 3rd and 4th March 2022, and Stockport residents are encouraged to attend to make their views heard.

Those wishing to make an oral representation at a public hearing are strongly encouraged to book a timed slot in advance. To book, visit the dedicated public hearings page on the Boundary Commission website and click on your chosen hearing. You will then be invited to register via the booking platform Eventbrite.

While Covid remains a concern, the Boundary Commission plan to take proportionate steps - in line with official guidance - to minimise the risk of transmission, while still allowing these statutory 'in person' hearings to take place.
The Boundary Commission currently propose to publish the representations received during the first consultation period on their website on 7th February.

Secure your place now and have your say over the next political map of the North West and beyond.
