Get Vaccinated Against Covid-19 This Half Term at One Stockport Hub

Get vaccinated this half term at the One Stockport Hub town centre Covid-19 vaccination clinic, Merseyway, SK1 1RA. There are special clinics planned throughout June, with a new schedule of opening hours, for anyone 5+ to get the vaccination they need.

It will be open every Saturday in June, from 9.30am to 3.30pm, except for Saturday, 4 June, which is the Jubilee bank holiday weekend. Anyone 5+ and eligible can walk in and get vaccinated. Note that children aged 5-11 are invited to come along until 1pm only, when specially trained staff will be on hand in a dedicated children’s area of the Hub.

The two additional half term clinics will be open on Wednesday, 1 June, and Wednesday, 8 June, 9.30am to 4.30pm for anyone 12+, and 9am to 1pm for children aged 5-11. It’s the ideal time for families to get the vaccinations they need and to protect themselves from Covid-19.

This latest offer is in addition to the vaccination clinic at Trinity Methodist Church, 351 Bramhall Lane, Bramhall, SK3 8TP, where anyone 12+ and eligible can walk-in without an appointment and get vaccinated on a Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 9am to 6pm.

There’s a special clinic for 5 to 11-year-olds at Trinity Methodist Church too, open from 9am to 6pm every Sunday. Appointments must be booked for 5-11s at this clinic on the National Booking Service online, or by calling 119 free of charge.

Local pharmacies across Stockport continue to offer Covid-19 vaccinations, bookable via the National Booking Service at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination.

Phillip Winrow, Vice Chair at NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “I urge anyone who is eligible for their Covid-19 vaccination to take advantage of this local offer. A lot of effort has gone into making these venues suitable for the whole family, including creating a children’s area and ensuring specially trained staff are on hand.

“Take the chance this half term to get vaccinated or boosted as it remains the best way to protect you and your family from serious illness.”

Councillor Keith Holloway, Stockport Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care, said: “COVID-19 is still circulating in Stockport and the pandemic is not yet over. One Stockport Hub is in a convenient place in the town centre so, if you are in one of the vulnerable eligible cohorts, please get yourself a booster or if you are the parent of a 5–11-year-old please get them vaccinated. It’s also not too late for anyone over 12+ to get a first or second dose, or a booster for those aged 16+.

“It will benefit the most vulnerable in society because immunity derived from vaccination declines over time. There’s plenty of choices in convenient locations across Stockport including bookable appointments or at walk-in pop-up clinics.”
