Get Active this Summer!
Stockport Council is urging residents to Get Active this summer and download an NHS approved app to help encourage us to be more active.
Nearly 2000 Stockport residents have already downloaded the “Active 10” app to help build activity into their daily lives.
Councillor Tom McGee, Stockport Council’s Cabinet Member for Health said:
“Summer is an ideal time to get more active with the family and the Active 10 Walking App is a great tool for people to see how much brisk walking they are doing and encourage them to do more. There are also many great opportunities in Stockport to become more active this summer with our great parks, walking and cycling trails and activities we can all enjoy. See what is available by checking events on our web site and information on our walking pages.”
