The wait is nearly over – Stockroom, Stockport’s newest cultural landmark, opens its doors this Saturday, 24th May, in the heart of the town centre.

New images released today offer a first glimpse inside Stockroom ahead of the opening weekend. The former Merseyway retail units have been dramatically transformed into a modern hub for creativity, connection and community. The photos showcase the vibrant, welcoming space that will soon host a packed programme of events, activities and cultural experiences for everyone to enjoy.

- Quick Draw (11am–2pm) – Test your sketching skills on Adlington Walk.
- Disco hat making – Make a disco hat, create your own Stockroom story, explore digital art, or leave your mark on our collaborative mural.
- Add your photo to our Chosen Family Album Exhibition (10am – 4pm): Bring in your pictures and images to include in Chosen Family Album and see yourself inside Stockroom.
