After a morning of activities or a creative workshop, there’s no shortage of cafés and restaurants across the borough where you can grab a bite to eat and relax—making it easy to turn a day of half-term fun into a full family outing.

We’re delighted to be able to offer so many activities for families this half term. There’s something for children of all ages, and with many events being free or low-cost, families can enjoy a fantastic week, without worrying about the cost. It’s wonderful to see so many opportunites.

Stockroom

Since opening in May, Stockroom has quickly become a buzzing creative hub in the heart of Stockport. This autumn, it’s packed with an exciting new programme of events with something for everyone! From workshops and craft sessions to screenings and interactive activities, there’s always something to discover.

Family friendly half term events at Stockroom include:

  • Spooky Screening - Ghostbusters - Friday 24 October from 5pm
  • Spooky Screening – The Addams Family - Saturday 26 October from 2pm
  • Dungeon Crawlers- Friday 24 October from 4pm, a fantasy Roleplay club for 7-11year olds
  • Youth night - Wednesday 29 October, from 5pm, ages 11-17
  • Wednesday Story Time session for younger children - join us at 11am

Holiday programmes and play schemes

Life Leisure – SEND-inclusive play, fitness, and swim sessions, with discounted rates available for Stockport Active Card holders.

Lisburne School Holiday Play Scheme – Structured, well-supported play sessions, first-come, first-served.

Kids Go Wild – Inclusive forest school adventures supporting children with and without disabilities, while providing families up to six hours respite daily.
