Drop-in events confirmed for residents affected by flooding

Meetings will take place across the borough following investigation by external consultants

Following the flooding of a number of homes and businesses in Stockport in July and August 2019, we have commissioned an independent review into the events leading up to the flooding.

We've employed Mott MacDonald, a firm of consultants, to:

  • look at how and why the flooding happened
  • recommend what measures should be put in place to help mitigate future flooding
  • look at the findings from the 2016 flooding and the actions that were taken

Drop-in events, that will be led by the consultants and council staff, will take place on the following dates:

January 21 – St Ambrose Church, Clover Avenue, Adswood, SK3 8QA 6.30pm to 8pm
January 28 - 2nd Bramhall Scout Hut, Fir Road, Bramhall, SK7 2NP, 3.30pm to 6.30pm
February 3 – Stockport Town Hall, Room 206, SK1 3XE, 3.30pm to 7.30pm
