Covid-19 Vaccination Offer Extended into July

Stockport’s popular town centre walk-in pop-up Covid-19 vaccination clinic offer at One Stockport Hub, Merseyway, SK1 1RA, has been extended and will remain open throughout July

Stockport’s popular town centre walk-in pop-up Covid-19 vaccination clinic offer at the One Stockport Hub, Merseyway, Stockport town centre, SK1 1RA, has been extended and will remain open throughout July.

The One Stockport Hub, will be open every Saturday, 9.30am to 3.30pm, except for Saturday, 23 July, when the clinic will be closed all day. It’s for anyone aged five years old and over. Children aged 5-11 are invited to come along between 9am and 1pm only, when specially trained staff will be on hand in a dedicated children’s area of the Hub.

The vaccination clinic at Trinity Methodist Church, 351 Bramhall Lane, Bramhall, SK3 8TP, will also remain open during July every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday, from 9am to 6pm. Appointments must be booked in advance for 5-11s at Trinity Methodist Church, and are available on Sundays only, via the National Booking Service, or by calling 119 free of charge.

The full range of vaccination options in Stockport, including opening hours, who is eligible, and how to get the booster vaccine can be found on the CCG website.

Local pharmacies across Stockport are also offering Covid-19 vaccinations, bookable via the National Booking Service website.

Phillip Winrow, Vice Chair at NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “It’s not too late for those who haven’t had their first, second, or booster jabs to come forward. An experienced and friendly vaccination team will be on hand to answer any questions you have and to reassure you.

“For those who haven’t yet had their booster, getting a spring booster dose before the end of June will allow enough time to extend protection into winter, and against any possible resurgence in infection levels.”

Councillor Keith Holloway, Stockport Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care, said: “While we all want to enjoy our summer, Covid-19 is still circulating in Stockport and the pandemic is not yet over.”

“One Stockport Hub is in a convenient place in the town centre so, if you are in one of the vulnerable eligible cohorts, get yourself a booster or, if you are the parent of a 5–11-year-old, please get them vaccinated. It’s also not too late for anyone over 12+ to get a first or second dose, or a booster for those aged 16+.”
