Come along to Stockport’s annual Fairtrade Christmas Fair

Start your Christmas shopping early this year with some sustainable and eco-friendly festive gifts and food from around the world.

On Saturday, 19 November, from 10.30am-3.00pm, the Stockport Fairtrade Group will be hosting a Fairtrade Christmas Fair at the Guildhall, 169 Wellington Road South, Stockport SK1 3UA. Free parking will be available behind the hall.

As well as a wide range of stalls, you can enjoy music from Manchester community choir, children’s activities, a raffle, refreshments and homemade cakes.

Stockport is a certified Fairtrade borough, and the Council is proud to support Fairtrade. By attending this event, people can also show their support for the Fairtrade campaign.

Councillor Colin MacAlister, Cabinet Member for Economy & Regeneration, said: “This is an incredible opportunity to get a head start on your Christmas shopping and see some of the fantastic fairtrade treats on offer. All proceeds will go towards supporting disadvantaged workers and local communities in developing countries”.
