A new beginning for breakfast club for Stockport armed forces and veterans
A weekly breakfast club for Armed forces veterans is coming to Stockport's Produce Hall.
Every Friday, the Armed Forces and Veterans 'Morning at the Produce Hall’ will create a friendly environment to have a brew, butty and chat from 10am to 12pm.
Supported by Stockport Council, The Veteran Food Company and supporting the Stockport Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club, the event will bring the armed forces community and their families together each week in a historic setting, right in the heart of town.
The breakfast club will run every Friday from 10am to 12pm at The Produce Hall, in Stockport Market Place, starting Friday 27th May 2022.
As well as the breakfast club, support services for veterans continue to flourish with the 'Live at Ease' programme extended for a further 12 months.
The service provides specialised support to veterans and dependents with disabilities, sensory impairments, enduring mental health difficulties, autism, and/or brain injuries, to reduce isolation, promote choice, and improve equality, inclusion, health and wellbeing, independent living and quality of life.
Working in partnership with Stockport Community Sports & Education Foundation and Stockport Homes Group, as well as supported by Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group and Stockport Council, the advice Drop-in clinics will run at the Cornerstone starting Friday 27th May from 10am till 1pm.
