Mental Health Services in Stockport are commissioned between Stockport Council and Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). They work closely with a range of provider services from the NHS and voluntary and independent sector.
Social care staff are seconded to Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. They work in a number of multi-disciplinary teams ensuring people with significant mental health problems are supported to live as independent a life as possible.
As well as ensuring high quality treatment is provided to people acutely unwell, the commissioning strategy addresses both the access pathway into services and the moving on pathway away from services. Prevention and recovery are key broad goals of the strategy, summarised in the following statement of aims.
