Concerns about a child's welfare

If a child is at immediate risk of harm, call the police on 999.

If you're concerned about a child’s welfare, you can use our online forms to make:

  • a non-urgent referral: if you think a child or family needs extra support to meet their needs
  • an urgent referral: if you think a child may be at risk of serious harm, or if you think their basic needs are not being met

You can also make a referral by calling us on 0161 217 6028, and selecting option 1.

Anonymous referrals

If you wish to make an anonymous referral to the MASSH, you should call us instead of using our online forms.

Support for parents and carers

If you're a parent or carer seeking support for your child, you can:

Mental health and emotional wellbeing help for children and young people

For children and young people aged 5 to 18 years old who are experiencing mental health or emotional wellbeing difficulties, you can make a referral to Stockport CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service).
