Overview
Making Every Adult Matter (MEAM) is an approach that works across multiple agencies and organisations.
Who it's for
MEAM aims to help people with multiple disadvantage. This means people who are facing a combination of problems including:
- homelessness (or risk of)
- complex mental health challenges
- substance misuse (such as drugs and alcohol)
- contact with the criminal justice system
- domestic abuse

How this works in Stockport
In Stockport, the MEAM Hub is a weekly multi-disciplinary team meeting. It includes:
- adult social care services
- British Red Cross
- Pure Innovations
- Stockport Homes
- Stockport Support Hub
- The Wellspring
They also work in partnership with:
- the NHS
- Greater Manchester Police
- mental health services
- probation services
- the third sector (charities, social enterprises and community groups)
These organisations work together as part of the MEAM Hub to directly improve the lives of people facing multiple disadvantage.
