Overview

This winter, it's really important that you take the time to look after yourself and your health. The colder weather can make existing conditions worse. It’s particularly important if you are 65 and older or clinically vulnerable.

Find the right healthcare

Find the range of NHS services available to you and your family, so when you’re not feeling well, or need treatment straight away, you know where to go. It’s important to remember that you should always go to A&E if the situation is an emergency or is life-threatening.

If you're not sure where to go, call 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk to find the right support.

It's a good idea to keep your medicine cabinet and first aid box well-stocked. This can help to treat minor injuries and illnesses at home, without the need to see a GP or visit A&E.
