How does it work?
Little Steps is a set of 8 character cards, each with a different theme.
Our set of cards are all ocean animals:
- Caspar the Clownfish – Celebrating Difference
- Clara the Crab – Making Friends
- Julia the Jellyfish – Emotions
- Oscar the Octopus – Bodies
- Stella the Seahorse – Daily Routine
- Sunny the Shark – New Experiences
- Tara the Turtle – Journeys
- Watson the Whale – Family
The front of each card offers recommended books that support the theme. The reverse side of the card has suggested activities chosen to support the theme.
As your child reads 2 books from the list, they get a sticker. When they complete 2 activities on the card, they get a second sticker and the card is complete.
Visit your library to collect the stickers, get the next character card, and find fantastic books.
When your child completes all 8 cards, they'll get a certificate to celebrate their achievement.
