Access to health and medical care

People arriving in the UK from Ukraine under this scheme are entitled to free NHS care and treatment. We'll help you to access urgent medical care and prescriptions when we undertake our first welfare check.

Anyone in England can register and consult a GP without charge. Practices are not required to request any proof of identity or immigration status from patients wishing to register. Visit GOV.UK to read the NHS Entitlements: migrant health guide.

Register with a GP

You can register with a GP surgery in person. To find out how to do this, visit the NHS website to find your nearest GP surgery.

The NHS has produced a patient guide to GP services (PDF, 1.96 MB).

You can also visit the NHS website to find health information translated into other languages.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations help to protect you and your family from a range of illnesses and diseases. You'll need to register with a GP to access free vaccinations for you and your family. You can find out more on GOV.UK: immunisation information for migrants.

COVID-19 programme resources

More information on why it is important for you and your family to have the COVID vaccination is available on GOV.UK.
