The people who work for Stockport Council are its biggest asset. Every day they give their best for Stockport, working together to make a difference to local people and communities. They work with pride and ambition to create opportunities for everyone in Stockport.

Working within the Human Resources and Organisational Development Service means that you'll be at the heart of helping the council to deliver its services. We:

  • recruit the workforce that delivers services
  • provide training and development
  • run payroll
  • develop benefits and well-being strategies, always at nil or low cost

A lot of work goes into employing a large workforce and we have a range of Human Resource (HR) and Organisational Development (OD) roles and career paths.
