What happens next

You'll receive a letter letting you know the authority’s decision to grant or refuse your planning permission. You'll also receive detailed information about how to appeal a decision.

The Planning Portal provides the necessary information on what you should know if permission is granted.

Before starting the work, you must submit a Commencement Notice.

Changes or amendments

If you decide to make any minor changes or amendments as you proceed, you'll need to check the position with the local planning authority (LPA) first. Any significant changes will require you to submit a further application through Planning Portal.
