Holding an event and filming

Stockport has plenty of choice when choosing where to hold an outdoor green space event or a filming location.

Our parks and open spaces have been host to a wide variety of events.

If you're planning an event in a park you'll need to consider:

  • applying for permission
  • obtaining appropriate licences
  • health and safety precautions

If payment is needed, it must be made 10 days before your event takes place.

A site meeting is recommended before submitting your application. This is explained in the application process.

Note: it can take up to 3 months for an application to be processed by all parties involved. Make sure that you apply in plenty of time.
