What we do

Our vision is a society where people thrive because they are valued within their communities. For 150 years we have been championing and caring for people with disabilities, autism and complex health needs to help them live the lives they choose. We also provide life changing support for looked after children and care experienced people.

We tailor make programmes to suit the individual needs of people aged 18 to 30 years. We provide a diverse range of exciting and varied activities, with opportunities to develop vocational and independence skills, as well as the chance to socialise.

Our activities include:

  • art
  • baking
  • sensory sessions
  • gardening
  • relaxation
  • learning new skills
  • getting out and about in our specially adapted vehicles
  • visiting local leisure centres for swimming, football, basketball and the gym

We also offer special education in our schools, residential care, community services and foster homes to over 2,000 individuals and families.

You can purchase our services via individual budgets or direct payments. We also work with brokerage services to deliver tailored packages of support to meet your budget and goals.

Volunteering opportunities

We're looking for volunteers to raise both awareness and funds in local communities. This could be anything from managing collection tins in your local area, joining a fundraising group, hosting events or collecting in a local supermarket.

Donations

Just £10 could pay for art and craft materials for a young person in a residential care home. Art and crafts can help manage behaviour, increase self-awareness, develop interpersonal skills and reduce stress.
