What we do
Tai Chi and Qigong sessions for anyone, any age. Originally, set up by local Doctor groups, now supported by the S.T.A.R. team (Stepping Hill/Salford NHS). Different forms of Tai Chi , ideal for those with serious health problems such as Arthritis, M.E., Parkinson's, Diabetes, M.S., heart problems etc.
However you don't have to have a problem, anyone can come long. (carers encouraged). Easy access for those requiring, e.g. scooters, wheelchairs. We also do Qigong (Shibashi), ideal for anyone preferring to remain seated.
All run by qualified instructors and volunteers. A very friendly group, making it a good social event also. New visitors every week, so no one should feel left out. Why not come along, see if it is for you and/or your friends and family.
Tai Chi for Health benefits people of all ages especially with balance, mobility and gentle stretching exercise.
We meet every Thursday from 1pm to 2pm. The first session is free. Any additional sessions only cost £3, this is only to help cover costs.
