What we do
The youth council is for young people aged 11 to 21 who live in Stockport or go to Stockport College and want to campaign to improve services for young people in Stockport.
If you're interested in being elected as a member of the UK Youth Parliament for 2024 to 2026, please contact the youth worker.
There are opportunities to get involved in youth voice activities in Greater Manchester and the Northwest, as well as standing for election to the U.K. Youth Parliament.
The young people also have an opportunity to attend an annual residential in the lake District with young people across the Northwest. The group meets on Wednesdays from at Grand Central (Safeguarding Children Unit), near Stockport Railway Station, Wellington Road South (A6). Light refreshments are provided for the group.
