What we do

Reddish Men in Sheds are a group of (mainly) older men who meet up to service and repair donated bicycles.

We then donate the bikes to schools or community groups or pass them on for a donation to help fund our group.

We have a well-equipped workshop and our members have a range of mechanical experience. You can also learn as you go by starting on a basic project. So no experience necessary!

We can pay for training courses to develop your bike maintenance skills. It's not all work, we like to have a chat over a cuppa and a snack! We're a friendly group and recognise that after a life-time of working and having a family around, you can be quite isolated as you get older.

By working together on shared projects, the group provides friendship and support to each other. If you feel a bit lonely, or are in need of an activity to occupy yourself, this group may be for you.

Contact us if you'd like to find out more and arrange a visit to see if this is the group for you.
