What we do
Probus Clubs have been running in the UK for many years and offer people in or near retirement the chance to meet socially, share conversations and hear talks on a wide range of different subjects.
The meetings of our club, Marple & District Probus, are on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month in Marple Senior Citizens Hall which is located in Marples Memorial Park and lasts just under 2 hours.
Several times a year we organise trips out to places of interest at which Members partners/guests are welcome to join. We also have a Book Club which meets once a month to share our thoughts on a chosen book and naturally the conversation often widens into other areas which interest us. We have club lunches twice a year and are keen to encourage other groups to form.
