What we do

Founded in 2017, OmniMusic specialises in using assistive and interactive technology to enable people with disabilities to be fully involved in writing, producing and performing music. We run inclusive music projects working on a one-to-one basis to working with large groups.

We use assistive music technology to enable disabled and non-disabled musicians to make and play music in ambitious, imaginative and creative ways. Our inclusive music making projects give everyone an opportunity to be creative and enjoy the social aspects of group musical activities.

A major part of our work is arranging and producing live performances, giving people who take part in our projects the opportunity to experience the sense of achievement when performing their own music in front of an audience. Our aim is to use the technology to enable disabled and non-disabled musicians to perform together as one.

We deliver our year-round Education Programme and Adult Community Programme in mainstream and special schools and colleges, and adult community and residential centres across Greater Manchester.

Each of our sessions is tailored to the needs and interests of the participants and delivered by our experienced SEND music practitioners, who encourage ambitious music making in all our groups.

We make sure the content is relevant for our participants, so if the group would like to create a track in their favourite genre, work towards a performance in a professional venue or share it on the community radio station we will help to make this happen.
