What we do

Mental Health Carers Group is made up of people who care for or support loved ones or friends living in the Stockport area who are of working age and have a long-term mental health condition.

Our group meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month to provide warm and friendly support and reliable and up to date information and a cuppa and biscuit.

Our activities include;

  • self-help
  • information
  • speakers
  • peer-support
  • networking
  • campaigning
  • fundraising.

Our motto is 'one size does not fit all in mental health'.

Join our campaign to demand better treatments and care for loved ones with severe mental health conditions. We challenge attitudes to mental illness, invite speakers who share their knowledge and experience about treatment, mental health policies or cutting edge research.

We aim to make a difference locally and nationally to mental health services. Run by carers for carers - we welcome professionals who share our values.
