What we do

We're a small residential care home situated on the Cheshire and Derbyshire borders in the Peak District. Our home has been run by the same family for over 30 years.

Our accommodation consists of mainly single bedrooms but we have 2 double bedrooms for couples to share. There are 2 bath/shower rooms, 2 lounges, a dining room and a kitchen. All rooms are well proportioned providing a homely and warm atmosphere in a cottage setting. We also have a stair lift for upper floors. The gardens are safe for people to walk in, without steps and are accessible for wheelchairs.

We're accessible to public transport, local shops and other community facilities such as pubs and libraries.

Every assistance is given to our 14 residents to help them maintain as full and active a life as possible. Where necessary, we will help and support with personal needs such as washing, dressing, feeding, toilet needs, etc. The wishes of our residents are always respected, as is their need for personal privacy.

Our aim is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our residents to maintain a good quality of life.

We offer a range of activities in the home for residents to pursue:

• life history and reminiscence work
• indoor and outdoor gardening
• social events
• local community activities
• shopping trips
• outings

The quality of life which our residents experience depends to a great extent on the calibre of the staff caring for them. Our trained and experienced team provide high quality care in a responsive and understanding atmosphere.
