What we do

Happy Valley is a local nature reserve, parts of which are also a site of biological importance.

The site is 17 hectares and the Ladybrook River flows through it. There's a mixture of habitats including the ancient woodland of Great Reddish Woods.

We're planting new woodland and our group carries out essential conservation work in the valley on the second Sunday of each month between January and October from 10am to 1pm. We meet on the 3rd Sunday of the month in November.

All welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

We're part of the Mersey River Trusts Norbury works programme.

We can organise corporate task days to carry out a variety of conservation tasks or conservation activities for youth groups or schools. We also do guided walks, particularly in Spring, but other times can be arranged to suit.
