Cheadle Hulme Garden and Allotment Society
Billy's Lane, off Heathfield Road, Cheadle Hulme, SK8 6HU
What we do
We are a large, thriving and popular allotment site, situated in a pleasant part of Cheadle Hulme, where over 70 plot-holders grow vegetables, fruit and flowers.
We enjoy encouraging and supporting this activity which, we believe, brings good health, wellbeing and a sense of community. There are several raised beds and a fully accessible toilet on site.
Plot-holders pay a modest rent each year.
There is a trading hut on site where members of the Cheadle Hulme Garden & Allotment Association can get advice and buy discounted garden supplies.
Although there is a waiting list for plots, membership of the Association is open to all and is only £3 per annum.
We welcome interest and visits from the community.
See events for details of annual Open Day - free entry, stalls, tea and activities. Our communal Cabin is shared by all on site and provides a comfortable dry space for social gatherings.
We garden every day but the Trading Hut is open every Sunday all year and on Wednesday evenings from April to end of June:
- Sunday from 10am to midday
- Wednesday from 7pm to 8pm
