What we do
We're a privately owned care home situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. We specialise in care for:
- dementia
- Alzheimers
- hearing impairment and deafness
- Parkinsons
- speech impairment
- stroke
- visual impairment
- old age
Our aim is to help our residents in continuing to live their lives as independently as their specific needs determine. We provide holistic care and support conducive to those needs.
We offer dedicated care for permanent, short term and respite stays, and day care.
Our home provides care for up to 30 people aged 65 to 100 years. We have 24 single rooms and 3 twin rooms located on the ground and first floor with lift access. 15 rooms have an ensuite toilet. Bedrooms are well equipped, warm and comfortable with central heating, sufficient lighting, television and telephone point. There are 3 pleasant lounges, a large conservatory and 2 dining rooms.
Activities:
- chiropodist and optician visit the home on a regular basis
- hairdresser visits weekly
- church service twice a month
- 2 days a week we hold activities. For exmple: quizzes, crafts, board games, social afternoons and reminiscence sessions, group and individual activities, reading groups
- regular outings and clothing sales
- entertainers are booked every month
Newspapers and magazines are available if required and there is access to a library service and talking books.
The home is fully committed to staff development and training. Our care staff have either achieved, or are in the process of achieving, their level NVQ3, NVQ4 and Diploma 5 in Management, Health and Social Care.
