What we do

If you're aged 7 or above, join All Saints Church Lads and Church Girls Brigade in Heaton Norris every Monday at 5pm for an hour and 40 minutes.

The Church Lads and Church Girls Brigade is an Anglican youth organisation. Its origins lie in the formation in 1891 of the Church Lads Brigade with its sister organisation, the Church Red Cross Brigade, (later the Church Girls Brigade), founded in 1901. The two brigades amalgamated in 1978 to form the Church Lads and Church Girls Brigade.

  • field craft
  • drill
  • games
  • outdoor activities
  • away days
  • Duke of Edinburgh Award
  • free brass lessons (instrument provided)
  • singing group

Whether youre young, looking for adventures and new friends, or a teenager looking for leadership skills and opportunities to develop, everyone is welcome.

Weekly subs are £1.

  • 5pm to 5.45pm - drill, badge work and games
  • 5.45pm to 6pm - tea and a drink
  • 6pm to 6.40pm - junior band practice, individual instrumental lessons and singing group
  • 6.30pm to 8pm - senior band practice
