What we do
Stockport Libraries services are free to all, regardless of where you live.
Join your local library
You can obtain a library card from any of our libraries. There's no minimum age, but if you're under the age of 18 years you'll need permission from your parents to join.
Get online
If you need help to get online or you'd like to improve your digital skills, our library staff will be able to help you. Visit any of our libraries to use our computers or use our free Wi-fi on your own device - mobile, tablet, laptop.
All our libraries also offer a free 6 week 'Learn my way' course for beginners. This will support you to become more confident online.
For more information and opening times, visit our library pages.
Volunteer
Would you like to make a difference to people in your community from helping people to overcome their fears of using computers, enabling greater access to our heritage resources or helping young people and parents in a code club?
If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, then we'd like to hear from you. Complete our online form and a member of staff will contact you.
