Winter Fuel Payment
Help with heating bills if you were born on or before 27 June 1960. The amount of Winter Fuel Payment you'll get for winter 2026 to 2027 depends on your circumstances.

Cold Weather Payment
Help with heating bills if you receive certain benefits and if the average temperature in your area is recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees Celsius or below over 7 consecutive days.

Warm Home Discount Scheme
£150 off your electricity bill for winter 2026 to 2027 paid to your supplier. You're eligible if all of the below applied on 23 August 2026:
- your energy supplier is part of the scheme
- your name (or your partner’s) is on the electricity bill
- you (or your partner) are claiming at least one of:
- Universal Credit
- Housing Benefit
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Pension Credit
