1. How to get a test
Do not book a lateral flow test if you have coronavirus symptoms
You must to book a PCR test or call 119 if you have one or more of the following symptoms:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
- a loss or change to sense of smell or taste
You must not attend for a lateral flow test if you have symptoms or if you are self isolating.

You can come for a test without booking but you may have to wait longer.

- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7am to 6pm
- Wednesday, 7am to 7pm
- Saturdays 10am to 2pm
Mobile Testing Unit
Our Mobile Testing Unit stops at set points throughout the Stockport community, twice a week. It's a sustainable, upcycled Yellow school bus, has 4 socially distanced testing bays inside and a processing area at the back.
You do not need to book an appointment. You can visit our timetable for locations.
The test will take about 5 to 10 minutes.
You'll get your results in about 30 minutes.
Community collect: get a test at home
All adults can now get a box of 7 lateral flow tests to take twice a week at home.
You'll need to give some personal details such as name and postcode when you collect the kit.
You do not need to book.
You can collect your kits in about 5 to 10 minutes.

Universal testing for adults without symptoms
Lateral flow test (LFT) community testing kits are being handed out from Fred Perry House for all adults without symptoms. You can also collect 2 free tests every week from your local collection point (see above) or pharmacy. There's no need to book.
If you have symptoms you'll need to take a PCR lab test. You can book a free test on the GOV.UK website.
