Learn how to do things online

You can learn how to do things online even if you do not have access to the internet at home.

There are free group classes that teach digital skills across Stockport.

Many local community groups cover digital skills along with their regular activities.

Plus, your local library staff can also help you get the support you need to learn the basics or develop your digital skills further.

If you'd like to speak to someone accessing or using the internet, or want to ask about these classes and community groups, call our DigiKnow Helpline on 07724 217888.

We've made our website easier to use

We’ve added a tool to our website that helps anyone with visual or non-visual disabilities, or those who speak a different language, access our content.

The Recite Me toolbar lets you do things like:

  • listen to our website text and PDFs aloud, and download the text as an MP3 file
  • change font sizes and colours, and background colours
  • translate text into more than 100 different languages
