If you do not buy a permit, you can continue to use your green bin for food waste which will be collected weekly. Your collection day will stay the same as it is now.
Your bin will not be emptied if it contains any garden waste, so make sure you do not add any to your bin.
Ways to recycle garden waste
You can recycle garden waste for free at your local recycling centre.
You can also compost your garden waste at home. If your garden is suitable and you'd like to try home composting, you can find more information on our home composting webpage.
