Fostering Plus
Fostering Plus carers provide specialist placements for children with significant learning and physical disabilities who need 24 hour care.
What you can offer
You can be single or in a partnership and one carer needs to be available full time. If you have birth children, it's usually expected that they are of secondary school age. This is because most children placed with Foster Plus carers will need to be the youngest child in the foster home.
You must have previous experience of working with children or young people.
Support and training
You'll receive support from a wide range of agencies, co-ordinated by the fostering service. The training package is tailored to the individual needs of carers and young people in the foster home.
Payments and allowances
You'll receive a tax-free allowance of up to £26,000 a year plus other benefits.
