We're supporting Foster Care Fortnight 2024 from Monday 13 May to Sunday 26 May.
Foster Care Fortnight™ is The Fostering Network's annual campaign to raise the profile of fostering and show how foster care transforms lives.
This year's theme is Fostering Moments. Our fostering community will be sharing special moments from their fostering journeys.
You can also visit our events page to find out what’s happening during Foster Care Fortnight.
Fostering community – get involved!
Whether you’re a foster carer, social worker, young person, Fostering Friendly employer or supporter of foster care, you're part of Stockport’s fostering community. You make a real difference to the lives of our children and young people, and we want you all to get involved in the Foster Care Fortnight celebration.
Throughout the fortnight, we'll encourage you to share the moments that have mattered the most to you.
Could you foster?
In Stockport, we're keen to encourage people to come forward and foster our children aged 0 to 18. We're particularly looking for people who can foster:
- older children
- siblings
- children with additional needs
- unaccompanied asylum seekers
If you feel that you could become part of our fostering community and help make special moments for our children, young people, and of course yourself, we’d love to hear from you during the campaign!
To make an enquiry, or for more information, visit our fostering webpages.
Could you become a Fostering Friendly employer?
If you're an employer, you can help support Stockport’s children and young people in care.
