Food business registration

When you start a new food business or take over an existing business in Stockport, you must register with us. You should do this at least 28 days before trading or before food operations start.

If you use premises in more than one council area, you must register with each local authority separately.

If you're a mobile trader you must register with the local authority where the vehicle/trailer is stored overnight.

For more information visit the Food Standards Agency website.
