Greater Manchester minor ailments scheme

This scheme is offered by chemists across Stockport. It provides free advice and medicine where appropriate, to help you treat and manage a range of minor ailments and conditions. You can use the scheme if you're:

  • under 16
  • 16, 17 or 18 and in full time education
  • 60 or over
  • named on current HC2 charges certificate
  • entitled or named on valid NHS Tax Credit Exemption certificate

Or if you have a valid :

  • maternity exemption certificate
  • medical exemption certificate
  • prescription exemption certificate issued by Ministry of Defence

Or if you get:

  • allergies
  • athlete's foot
  • atopic eczema
  • constipation
  • contact dermatitis
  • diarrhoea
  • dry eyes
  • ear wax
  • fever
  • post immunisation fever
  • head lice
  • indigestion and heartburn
  • insect bites and stings
  • mouth ulcers
  • nappy rash
  • pain, including teething
  • threadworm
  • oral thrush
